The Pinewood Retired Men's Golf Association (PRMGA) was formed in 1982.  It brings together men 50 years of age and older who want to expand their golfing opportunities and meet new friends.  In 2009 the PRMGA has 45 members who range in age from 50 to 84, sporting handicaps from 8 to 30. Members enjoy several golfing opportunities that include weekly play at Pinewood three days of the week, and interclub tournaments with 11 other clubs in Louisiana and Mississippi.  (These tournaments are team play format and offer a round of golf, cart, prizes and lunch.  The PRMGA recognizes its members' achievements throughout the year, including low gross and low net Champions decided at the 36 hole year-end tournament.  Trophies are awarded at the annual Christmas Awards Dinner and Dance.  Other awards include other "recognitions" such as "Sandbagger of the Year".  All in fun of course!

The Pinewood Men's Golf Association is a golf organization of Pinewood members 18 years or older. 

They schedule 10 tournaments per year.  These tournaments are on the third Saturday of every month, except June and December.
The tournaments shotgun at 8:00 A.M.  The dues are $50 per year, and are due March 1st.  The dues may be pro-rated at any time during the year.  PMGA members pay a $10 entry fee per tournament that they sign up for.  This fee includes free soft drinks or keg beer, tournament prizes, and lunch after play.   Riding in a cart is extra.  

Guests of members are invited with a verifiable handicap.  Sign-up sheets are posted in the Golf Shop about 3 weeks before the tournament.  Joining this organization is a great way to meet new friends.

Pinewood offers one of the most  comprehensive Junior Programs in the State. Our Golf Professional, James Leitz has been named as one of the Top 50 Junior Golf Instructors in the United States by U.S. Kids Golf.  This award goes with both Golf Digest & Golf Magazine ranking James as one of the top Golf Instructors in the Southeast.

Girls 7-17 years old & Boys 9-17 years old are eligible.

Areas covered include:  Etiquette, Rules, Full Swing, Chipping and Putting.

The Pinewood Ladies Golf Association is a group formed to promote enjoyable golf. The ladies play on Thursday mornings with different formats every Thursday. In the spring & fall we have started Saturday FUN days. They are usually the 1st Saturday of the month and are really fun formats.
We also participate in the Northshore Women’s Golf Association which entitles the ladies to play golf for cart fees only at participating courses. The formats for these tournaments are handicapped and varied team events.
